So before I even get to the part where Prince Charming
sweeps a girl of her feet, I need to talk to the guys for a second. To me,
being a Prince Charming isn’t just about being wildly romantic and carrying a
girl off into the sunset. It’s just about being a good guy. What do I even
mean, “good guy”? That part is easy. Follow Jesus’ example. Look, already every
guy is technically a prince because his heavenly father is the king, but that
does not make him a charming prince. Jesus is the ultimate example of a Prince
Charming. He was kind. He was generous. He was patient with annoying people, He
treated everyone with respect, He wasn’t proud and He loved His father,
God. To be a Prince Charming you need to
work on those things. My ultimate definition of a Prince Charming is this:
A
guy who loves God more than He loves me.
That sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? You might be
thinking, “Yeah I totally got that down.”
Or you might be thinking “Too hard. I’ll just pretend I didn’t read that
part.” In case you thought the latter…A
GUY WHO LOVES GOD MORE THAN HE LOVES ME.
Got it that time? Now I know there are tons of
other things I could include in that definition but seriously, what’s more
important than that? Pretty much nothing.
Okay so back to what I was saying before… To be the
kind of guy that a Christian girl needs you need to work on the ‘charming’ part
of Prince Charming. Guys, we all know
you can manage the perfect hair-nice outfit kind of charming, but I’m talking
the respectful, honest, chivalrous, God-fearing kind. XO Charlotte
