I started typing this post with no particular topic in mind
to write about, but as I was inattentively sitting here listening my iPod I got
the idea to do a “what’s on my iPod” post.
So here it is folks! Gosh, I feel like an elderly talk show host when I
use the word folks. (Oh, and you will come to find that many of my posts come
from a completely random thought out of my utterly blank mind.)
The most played song on my iPod is...Just the Way You Are by ANTHEM LIGHTS not Bruno Mars. My all-time
favorite song is Just the Way You Are,
and that never changes, though I do have what I call a “running favorite” which
is just whatever song I happen to be obsessed with at any particular time.
Right now that is Dancing in the Rain by
Shane Harper. Suuuuper cute and fun to
dance to! Most of the top 10 on my iPod are Anthem Lights’ songs, but…*cough*
*cough* the second one *ahem* is…*gasp* Pray
by Justin Bieber. I KNOW but it
hasn’t been played on my computer since November of 2013!!! I swear it! And
really, that was the only song by him that I ever liked. He is, in my mind, a
very lost child. Yeah I don’t even know what that means.
Anyway, my
favorite artists are as follows: (not in any particular order except the first
one)
Anthem
Lights -love love
love love And I got to meet them in real actual life! Excuse me for a moment
while I fangirl…”I got to touch Alan, Chad, Caleb and Joey and I have a signed
notebook from them and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING” I agree with you…that
first part is kinda on the creepy side…but hey. I don’t “fangirl” often. They
have two albums of covers and they’re working on a third. Not to mention their fan-stinkin-tastic
two original albums.
Britt
Nicole - Also saw her
live.
Fireflight
- Much harder band
than the first two I mentioned, but very catchy and awesome, meaningful lyrics.
Owl City - Okay you are cray-cray if you don’t
like Owl City. Let’s just get that out there. Adam Young is super talented is
he not? That man has quite an interesting mind I must say.
Royal
Tailor - My favorite
song by them is Love Song. How weird
is it that he can sing higher than I can? And it sounds fantastic.
Manafest - I don’t know the guy’s real name but
I should probably figure it out…haha! I frequently get into a rap mood and this
is exactly the kind of stuff I like to listen to. He is a Christian and his
lyrics are really deep. The best song In my opinion is Every Time You Run because it
makes me remember that God is always with me. No matter what happens and how
much trouble I get into. And that would
be a lot of trouble.
Flyleaf - ahhhhh way good stuff y’all
Cimorelli – mostly, I think, they have songs on
YouTube. Covers. But they are six sisters who have angelic voices and
harmonies, and really cute outfits!!
Daughtry – Okay, Chris Daughtry goes to my
cousin’s church. AHHHHHHHHH so cool
Other Artist
I don’t feel like underlining and talking a lot about because I am lazy and my
computer keyboard stinks:
Fee, Building
429, Capital Kings, Kelly Clarkson, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, The Fray,
Manic Drive, The Piano Guys, Red, Shane Harper, 1 Girl Nation, Sidewalk
Prophets, MercyMe
That’s not nearly all of the artists I have. I have one
hundred and sixty-eight artists on my iPod. I know that to a lot of you that probably
doesn’t equal half of the artists that you have…but to me and my cute little
iPod nano it is a LOT! I never know what to choose! First world problem right
there y’all.
As for favorite songs,
here are some of my top picks (and not saying all the artists cuz that takes
way too long to type) : Your Love is Better than Life, Every Time You Run,
Gold, Fight Forever, That’s What I’m Looking For, Ready or Not, Human, All of
Me, Dancing in the Rain, Give it Up, Boomerang, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, This
is How We Roll, 19 You + Me, Courtesy Call, The Trouble With Girls, Skyscraper,
Brand New Day, Ignite, Made in America and In a World Like This.
Hopefully this wasn’t
the most boring thing you’ve ever read…though it probably came close. If there
are any songs or artists I mentioned that you haven’t listened to or heard of
before I would highly recommend them all. I would also love to hear about any
other really good (preferably Christian) artists that I didn’t mention so let
me know if you have a different favorite!
XO Charlotte
